Stairs vs lift
Stairs are 251 steps (about 15 min). If you are fit, it is a way to feel the building. Lift goes to first terrace level, but you walk from there.
Rooftop tips
- Windy or rainy days are slippery - wear sturdy shoes
- Golden hour (sunrise/sunset) is best for photos
- Find the spot where you can see the Madonnina on the main spire up close
