Detailed hours by area

Cathedral

The cathedral is open daily, including holidays. Tourists enter from the south side. During religious services, tourist access may be temporarily limited.

Standard hours: 9:00-19:00 (last entry 18:10)

Rooftop Terraces

Access terraces via stairs or lift. Stairs on south side, lift on north. In bad weather terraces may close for safety.

Duomo Museum

The museum displays original sculptures from the facade, architectural models and tapestries. Closed Wednesdays.

Special days and holidays

Hours may change on major Italian holidays and Milan patron saint day (Dec 7). General patterns:

  • Christmas (Dec 25): morning only or closed
  • New Year (Jan 1): opens afternoon
  • Easter: normal hours (some time reserved for mass)
